So apparently the forest scares Cole and John more than a crypt. Hehe.

Out of curiosity, was it ever explained how the Montaine fortune was lost? If the answer is “no”, may I know the full story? Was it because of Jon’s Banestone-related madness?
Great question! 🙂 To be completely honest with you: I don’t know how the family fortune was lost.
This detail of the story is in loose notes and I’m leaving myself a little “wiggle room” for development in future stories should the need arise.
I’m guessing that it had to do with Drakyl the Dragonstone. Drakyl probably destroyed the estate when he murdered Pablo and took the Banestone. Drakyl could have also plundered any Montaine wealth.
The fact is that after Drakyl was killed by Kyri, Jon was already penniless. This was well before Jon became the Banestone rocker.
Of course none of this is canon until it appears in an actual comic, but that’s what I have so far. 🙂
Ahahaha… yes, now that minor issues like stopping the end of the world are resolved, we can finally move on to the *real* issues, like where to live. 😛
