So yeah, I agree with everyone that being set free in the middle of nowhere is not a great thing, but when I read this, I just a version of the English Bobby running through my head:
“…this plant you cannot. And if you do, I’ll cut up some more plants and tell you what you can eat and what you cannot again.” 🙂
The real policeman Bobby thing is, I believe, an American jab at the non-gun toting regular English police. The idea is that if a suspect runs from them, they blow their whistle and yell “stop! Or else I’ll blow my whistle and yell stop at you again!”
That’s her way to say I forgive you? Teaching him how to survive in that new world?
