He has the speedstone, wich might also slow down impacts (you live through them at higher speed, so less force/moment).
He could use the forcefield stone to create a wall or ramp (green Latern Style) to stop the descent now or make it more controlled
He could combine the forcefield and firestone to create a makeshift rocket.
Ah, but he doesn’t need to fly. Just slow them down enough that they land in one, probably bruised piece and not in a smear of blood.
And that doesn’t take into account the other overstones he has…
