Issue 1 Cover (Volume 1)

Howdy friends,
While I’m still on vacation, I’m taking some time to tie up some loose ends while I prep Endstone for a print run. This sketch was floating around for a while. I decided to finally finish it and use the image for the cover for Issue 1.
I’ll move this page to the front of the archive once the cover for Issue 10 is ready.
Endstone will be back soon so stay tuned…

The cover looks great, Can you release more info for the print part?
Thanks for the interest Edian. I’m going to release all nine Endstone Issues at a print on demand service, like Ka-Blam, very soon. The hold-up is I’m adding tone and redrawing some of the early pages in Issues 1 and 2 where I thought the art was not up to par.
Also, the black and white pages (Issues 1-4) will be released together as a graphic novel very soon. The color pages (Issues 5-10) will be released as a color graphic novel sometime after Issue 10 is complete.
Unfortunately, I know the price can be a bit higher at a print on demand service, however I might consider doing a regular print run and distributing them myself should there be interest.
When the printing is ready I will make an announcement.
What do you plan on doing with the original Issue 1 cover art? Are you planning to have 2 versions of the cover or maybe use the original art inside or on the back cover or are you planning to toss it out completely? It might not be as amazing as the new cover art but it almost seems a shame not to keep it somehow.
Good question. The old cover will be relegated to an inside extra in Issue 1. There’s always a few blank pages that need to be filled-in to make the issue staple evenly. I think I’ll keep both in the archive for now. Maybe it’s just me, but the old cover bugged me for some reason.

Interesting, i see on this cover that Cole has the Banestone again… That’s the last thing i expect from her at this point. xD
We just wrapped up Issue 9 and are soon to start Issue 10. This cover belongs to Issue 1, the very first issue, long before the Banestone is taken from Cole.

Cool cover. I really dig the line art. And the vintage feel of the “company logo” in the corner is really cool.
Thanks Michael. When I was a kid, I loved those comic covers with the “character boxes” in the upper left corner. 🙂 It doesn’t feel right without it and it’s good for character recognition. 🙂
