Why John did not throw the banestone to the sun?

Of course, Jon’s banking on Simon himself not being completely insane. Can we really doubt the word of a talking Utahraptor? (It looks a little big to be a Deinonychus)

    Allen – LOL. 🙂

Edian – Good idea, but I think Jon might have a plan. 🙂

Renato – You will see shorty my friend.

Raoullefere – Oooo – great dinosaur knowledge. 🙂 I admit I’m not sure what breed of raptor I drew earlier. It was based on a photo and I drew it extra big to seem menacing.

I know the end is coming, I’m sad at the prospect. This has been such an interesting world setting.

Hey cool. I’m glad you’re enjoying the comic. However, we’re coming-up to the end of this story arc, but not necessarily the comic. 🙂

What we’ve seen so far is basically the origin story and the set-up for the Endstone universe. The plan is to continue the lives of these characters and explore this world — which is what I’m itching to do.

The only thing stopping me, to be very honest, is readership. I love all of you folks who follow the comic and I know some of you have stuck with me since the early days. I greatly appreciate it. However, readership plateaued in 2011 at about 1200-2000 readers and has stayed there. The comic is not growing and it really bums me out. Also, with advertising and coloring costs, the comic barely breaks even, and probably loses money when it’s all said and done. But doing a comic is fun. I enjoy fan reactions, and I’m always learning new drawing tricks to hone my craft so in that sense it’s worthwhile.

So, I’m going to finish this story-arc and reassess how I feel about continuing at that time (hopefully later this year).

I do hope you continue. Its been an amazing ride so far with the story and if this is only the introduction- absolutely fantastic.

I’m a big sucker for world settings that differ greatly from our own. The more detail someone places in the history make the world a more believable place. For a time till the big reveal I had thought this was some kind of simulation people were stuck in, but its much more than that. Its become a crazier world a world that could hold more surprises in it that is already evident. Once again fantastic and will read until what ever end you bring us to.

I enjoy world building too. I have rough maps, histories, etc that I can’t wait to explore with this world. That’s the fun part.

And there will be an even bigger reveal so stay tuned. 🙂 And thanks for reading. 🙂

I happened to find this comic quite recently, and it is a wonderful change of pace from the typical fantasy fare.

And I think I picked a good time to join in. Things have been quite interesting so far, but now that Jon has the Banestone once more, they should get *really* interesting.

Thanks for stoppin’ by, Nemorius. I really dig fantasy stories but I felt typical fantasy-fare like elves, magic and dragons was becoming cliche. I wanted to make Endstone have these fantasy-things but give them a different, non-Tolkien twist. At least that was the goal.

I think you’ve succeeded at that. Partly your setting having its own feel, partly the story not being the epics that Tolkein wrote, partly a greater focus on the individual motives of characters. It all combines to set your story apart from others I’ve read.

Though I’ll disagree about dragons being cliche. Then again, I might be a bit biased on that matter. *glances at avatar*

Okay. I tried to fix that with a little bump on G+. Once all my five followers have read it, you should be made, Tony!

Impressive how much a manipulative mastermind Simon is shown to be once again. As soon as Jon grabbed the Banestone, he resumed is tiny appearance and tone of a reasonable man like he used to in old days, while with Cole he’s always relied on overwhelming goldly appearance to induce fear and threat in the girl’s mind.

Exactly. And Simon’s true plan that will be revealed very soon.
