I think he will change this reality INTO the one we know from the previous comics. The experiment will become the eternity spire, the emergency shutdown the bane- and endstone, etc. I’m just not sure yet, what the other power-stones will come from.
What! Nobody has yet commented on the flower spouting out of head of the fat guy at the computer? Very funny Tony! I like thoses littles details apearing here and there in your story.
I’m guessing Simon is the only doctor in the room – or at least the most senior – because none of the others are squabbling with him for a turn with their new toy. Er, invention.
That would make the others research assistants and grad students, which means that one or more of them is planning to sneak in and play with it after Simon leaves.
As a former grad student I can attest to their sneaky ways. 😉 I can’t comment on your scenarion without spoiling things, but I will say that your idea did cross my mind, but not the way you think. Sorry for being evasive. 🙂
