      Given her description of him as “icky undead guy”, I suspect she would be quite disgusted by your suggestion that she could think of him as “food”.

      I would imagine she didn’t want to expend her most powerful attack unless it was necessary. After he proved capable of withstanding the full power of her dragon form, it became necessary.
