Oh my, he actually combined ForceStone and FireStone to created a whole new power. That’s a first one, as far as we’ve seen. Until now we’ve seen peaple using multiple overstones to do some combo attacks, but never one that would “fuse” 2 stonecraft powers into a new one. Jon is indeed something else.
Yes good point. Jon is the only known stoner who can combine the power of two or more stones and this is the key later. Looking at the page now, I need to add fire to the forcefield (my bad 🙁 )
Meanwhile, any clue about the reason why Jon would be the only one able to do that feat ? Unless of course it’s part of the spoil zone… 😉
As far as i’ve thought about it i can only assume it’s raw talent. Hence my previous comment : Jon is on a different level entirely compared to any other stoner we’ve seen so far.
Yep, known to us. We’ve only seen Pablo use 2 stones so far, and because of the very nature of one of them (the GraveStone, only affects the user), they cannot possibly be combined. So as far as we’ve seen, no stoner but Jon has been able to combine stonecraft powers to create new ones. Does not mean only He can do that, simply means maybe only He knows about it. Knownledge obtained from his time as Time-Killer Banestone maybe ?
Which then begs the question, how far can he go with it? For example, let’s say he combines the angel stone with the stone this guy is using (I’ll call it the speed stone for now). Would he be able to fly at an even faster speed? Then, imagine if he used that combo against Colindra while she was a dragon to evade her attacks, while simultaneously using the force+fire combo to deprive her of oxygen, knocking her unconscious so he could retrieve the banestone (and the other stones Colindra may have) and break GATES’s hold over her.
Of course, then that would make him a far greater threat than Colindra, since he would all of those stones + his ability to dual/multi rock stones + being back under the influence of the banestone.
I added fire to the force-field. Also check out the previous page. Jon has to levitate the two stones outside his hand in order for him to “rock” both the Forcestone and the Firestone. This was also added to the page.
Well, that wasn’t very nice…
No it wasn’t. 🙁 But there’s always a catch…

That’s my theory too. It’s simply pure skill. When you say only known Stoner you mean known to us readers? I suspect Lightstone can do it too.

I think that’s precisely his strategy. :p
He’s like the Highlander of the stoner universe. He’ll add their power to his own. There can be only one!
Very true. It is common for stoners to battle each other and collect stones.:)
Not a bad way to think about it!

Impressive special effects. I can’t wait to see what’s next in the stonecraft show-off list. 😀

Thanks. 🙂 It keeps me going knowing people are digging the comic.
