I’m suprised how easily John’s overcoming the guardian. Either
1) It’s about to get a lot worse for John.
2) The secret is knowing the guardian is weak against the Forcestone.
3) John is a lot stronger than I thought (but no, Forcestone put up a good fight against him).
4) The Guardian is a lot weaker than I expected.
Actually, Jon is currently in an all-defensive state. that’s not how he can possibly overcome this fight. Still, that’s how he can analyse his oponent’s strategies and abilities to think of a plan.
Like the Twiligh Lady said in the webcomic she’s from : “The meekest toy in skilled hands can be deadly. The Reverse is also true.” That’s why Jon could defeat Matilda’s powerful defensive stone so easily with his Firestone. Knowing Jon, i’m sure he’s thinking of something as we speak. 😉
His defenses are enough to resist a rock sword, of course. But that’s not how he can defeat whatever he’s facing. Know your enemy first, deal with it later. 😉
He better hope she doesn’t try to just punt him off the bridge!
“You shall not pass!”

I’m sure I’ll find out on Thursday.

His strategy seems to be working just fine as it is, tho…

I read the strip.
Then I put on Guile’s Theme, and read it again.
It was awesome.
