Hmmm …. Healthcare in the Endstone universe is not much different from healthcare in the present day United States. If you’ve got money, you get treatment. 😉
Also, I’m on vacation this week so my commenting may be limited (depending on computer access).
And, thanks again for voting last month. We reached into the upper 80s at Top Web Comics. Can we do any better in August? I appreciate you folks helping me promote the comic. Vote often. 🙂
EDIT: Ooops. The page posted one day early. Oh well. . . I’ll leave it up. Next update is Thursday. 🙂
Aha… the real treatment is revealed. 😉
25.
Whoot.
Even if it may be temporary.
Great page !
Dog and his master kinda act like half scam and half helper!
I have been absolutely loving this comic & story. Right up there in my top 5 with Erfworld and Power Nap, for all the best reasons– inventiveness & great (and improving!) art. I wanted to make 1 tiny suggestion on the visuals here. I had difficulty telling whose hands were grabbing Cole, I thought it was someone inside the tent. In the next page, I see of course that it’s Kyri (she is one of my favorite characters for defying the way she’s pigeonholed). In the setup panels, we clearly see Cole walking up to the backstage and peeking through the curtains. In the last panel, I had a hard time telling which side of the curtains Cole was on. But that panel is fine. I think instead, if you take the next-to-last panel and close the curtains somewhat so we don’t see as much of Cole’s face, it will clear that up and possibly add some drama by obscuring part of her face. I do appreciate the lighting differences, dark inside & bright outside, between the two. And I absolutely love the 2nd panel… in one shot, you show us all the explanation/action we need– Gog rocking a stone to heal the customer, Bolo counting out the take, even squeezing it all between Cole’s hand and face, with a dreamcatcher, Mom’s photo, and is that a smiley face calendar on the wall??? Great composition man!
And my take on the macro-plot thus far is this… that there are 2 mutually-exclusive alternate realities: the one that I live in where we have cars and such, and the one where Kyri is a deer. I think that GATES is trying to switch to the reality where he’s important & powerful, rather than the one where he’s unimportant, dead, or has tragic things happen to him. Well, okay, I don’t really think that’s where this comic is headed, but it’s interesting to think about. Thanks again! 🙂
Thanks for stoopin’ by and I’m glad you’re enjoying the comic. 🙂
