No kidding. That’s so like the Colindra we know and love.
What does ‘vala’ mean?
“mother” in Deerish. 🙂
there’s a double “the” in the top right box in the first panel.
otherwise… nice reference to the scene in the beauty salon
Thanks. Fixed it. 🙂
Some one needs a reality check, and a sense of priorities.
It seems that even before getting twisted by the Banestone, Cole was already a superficial child. “Daddy” had a real bad influence…
The expression in Kyri’s face in the last panel is priceless.
ObiongBanana – Thanks. 🙂 I think Kyri doesn’t understand her daughter sometimes.
TRISTAN DARKTHUNDER and Darth Killer – It’s interesting to see your reaction to Cole. Kyri and Cole are designed as opposites. One is cultured, the other is rustic… Talkative vs. stoic … Soft vs. Hard… Black haired vs. Blond… Tall vs. short. I’m having fun getting them to finally interact minus the Banestone.
Yet cultured does not mean being a rotted child nor a superficial one. Considering how alien to Kyri this all is, it can only come from Jon. :p
Yes I’m sure Cole got a great deal of her “human attitudes” from Jon. 🙂 However children of immigrants are often quite different from their old-country parents.
As for the child being rotten or superficial. . . you will know for sure by the end of this chapter.
Last panel– now THAT’S a deer in the headlights look!
LOL. Thanks for stoppin’ by Dangermike.
Kyri: “I knew torrenting those ‘Bratz’ cartoons was going to be trouble.”
I believe this is the point she realized that she and her husband have failed as parents.
Any chance a latecomer to the comic could somehow access the “unpublished Top Comics Vote reward story”? And I AM voting for this simply fantastic comic btw… Great stuff!!!!
Hey CaliforniaDude!
The “unpublished” Endstone story was actually the scene in Issue 1 where Cole attended the ball and was attacked by Elden LeBlanc. That scene (and a few others in Issue 1) were added several years after this comic appeared online. Issue 1 was originally 22 pages and has hence been expanded to around 44 pages.
I released the new scenes panel by panel at TopWebComics and then inserted them into Issue 1.
Still, I’m glad you are enjoying the archive. And thanks for voting. 🙂
