Actually, tony answered it in the comments of a previous page. That skull is actually a skull of a “real” deer, and in the Stoner universe it is the symbol of the goddess worshiped by Kyri’s deer tribe. 😉
Actually, I’ve been meaning to do that. I could write a little on Gog, Bolo, Vandric the Grim, and even the God of the Spire, but not too much since I don’t want to spoil anything. Any others you’d like to see?
Plus, I’ve been asked to do a listing of the various over-stones and their powers. I’ve got to get to that someday too.
Well actually there are things to say about lesser characters as well, and what about characters that are already done for like the king – what’s his name again ? xD
If you intend also to write things about stone mecanism and other things like that, i suggest you to put everything in a Wikia pack. 😉
I believe that I can offer an explanation on how Stones work,but if I am right,that might spoil the story for a lot of the readers.
Not that the Stones might actually work the way I think,but my expanation is plausible and if I reveal (hypothetical) the principles of the this alternative universe,I may stumble to some spoiler.

A hint though….the Stones in this world,might work as Tallismans hypothetically work in our-as focal points.
And the more people believe in the properties of a symbol,a focal point,a God or whatever,the more powerfull it gets.
As for how reality can be affected and warped to one’s will,voluntarily or not,please read Phillip K. Dick’s novels-especially the ones like “The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldrich” or watch closely the “Inception” movie and think about the properties of a Totem-the little things they used to check if the world they were in was real or dream.
I’m still a reader though,I might have strong suspicions for the whole story,but I enjoy the way it is told and I am really curious to see how it will develop and what will happen to the characters-how all these events will affect them.
I mentioned this before, but erasing the story of Kyri is the same as killing her. Erasing a person’s story is the same as erasing them. I certainly wouldn’t want anyone rewriting my past. I wouldn’t be me anymore.
Be careful of what you seek, Jon, for if Kyri never learns her nunja abilities, she may very well end up as food.
