I really like this webcomic. The only thing that takes away from it are the grammatical errors. I find them distracting, such as “He must have *SEEN* her take the Endstone”, but if you managed to eliminate them, completely awesome webcomic 🙂
Braindonor -Howdy. Yes, the pages will be the same when they go to Drunk Duck. I use the computer to exactly divide in half one full comic page. They seem different shapes because sometimes I let the panel edges “bleed” out to where the edge of the printed page will be. Just to break things up. . .
First of all hudge congrats for all your work on this comic, that seems to be paying off as i can see the few first episodes poping out in stores. I’ve been a silent reader for quite some time now, and i still wonder actually how you’re going to connect the “real” world’s illusional dream-universe with its magics and medieval-fantastic-based principles, and the demonlord’s real-based universe with his universities and potato-chips. 😀
It’s still far from here anyway, we’ll just have to wait for it. 😀
Still, what troubles me most about that is : if this fairy world is an illusion, why does this bureaucratic demonlord want to destroy it through pawns rocking the Banestone ? What’s in it for him ? My personnal fanfic-like theory is that if the illusion is broken THIS WAY, he might retain all the magical powers in the real world, turning from a fat office-worker to a world conqueror with ease. After all, did anyone notice that his helmet was acutally like neurologic connectors used for EEG scans ?
Which means if Jon Montain wants both to break the illusion and freedom for his family, he may need to find another way than trying to reunite those 2 overstones… And he’ll have to be quick if he wants to save his daughter from his father’s deadly traps…
Another interesting thing, about Drackyl this time, before he rocked the Banestone : was he a good friend that fell under self-corrupting of greediness because of the Banestone’s promises for great power (it’s the number 1 most powerful overston, equal to the endstone, after all), or was he faking his friendship in order to get closer to the stone of his dreams ?
One last strange thing : what exaclty allows someone to have the stoner ability ? Cole and Jon may have got theirs from their respective parents, but Kiri’s sibling never recieved their father’s birth gift. Are genetics at hand ? If yes we may see some evil guys try experiments to steal the gift from stoner while not being born with it in the first place. If genetics are not the answer, what makes it sometimes so random ? Do we have to compare it to Highlander’s immortality birth gift ? That bothers me because of the many branches it creates for the background storyline. 🙂
Hi Darth Killer. 🙂 Thanks for the congrats and I’m glad you’re enjoying Endstone so far. You have some great questions and without spoiling things too much, I’ll just say that you are headed somewhat in the right direction with your theories. The motives of the nerd god of the Banestone will be revealed as the story progresses.
I can answer the question about the stoner-ability without giving any plot details away. It is well known in the Endstone universe that the stoner-ability runs in families and it’s very rare. So it is probably genetic and probably a recessive trait. Cole has it because both of her parents were stoners. Kyri’s siblings don’t because the gene didn’t get passed on. Also, the ability doesn’t manifest until after puberty. I guess it’s similar to the mutant powers in the X-men. But of course the folks in the Endstone-universe don’t know anything about genetics or science.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for reading. 🙂
Of course they don’t know about science, but we’ve seen stories (either novels or old legends) talking about mad men trying to get some abilities / power through bizarre experiments, often involving blood rituals. I wondered if something like that could trigger the genetic theft of the stoner-ability i was talking about in my previous message. 😉
Anyway, that’s for the enlightment, and continue on the Endstone path. 😉
I first thought this reality was a WoW-type game that enhances the game experience by suppressing the memory of the player’s real-life identities, so they don’t even know they are in a game. Then I wondered if the nerd-god was running a perception/reality experiment and accidentally changed the real world into this one, and is now trying to change it back. What I really want to know is just which animals are humanoid in this world. I assume that livestock animals like cows and pigs are (vegan propaganda, right), how about small critters like squirrels and raccoons, are they “little people” like elves and gnomes? What about birds? I hope this project runs long enough to find out.
hmmm… I think its time for some BBQ venison:D…
…to soon?
She might be eating Dragon soon…

Easily fixed. 🙂 Any others?
Oooh she is angry. And an angry Stoner is no good news. Especially if she has the friggin’ ENDSTONE!
So soon we would see the dragon needing a rescue from the fair maiden…
I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen.
The setting is quite neat– not to mention that goldstone of a plot you are rocking.
Concerning small errors (since you asked), the word “endstone” misses a letter right at the top left.
I bet your are sitting on a lot of good ideas, and you have a lot of potential with your comic. I hope you get into the world lore a bit more.
Mirk – Thanks for the kind words and the good eye. I should stop putting-off getting glasses. 😉
Kit – Thanks for stopping by. And the lore will be touched on as the story progresses. 🙂
Fywillan, Oz, and Curator – as always, I appreciate your comments.
thanks,I appreciate your appreciation of our appreciation for your comic…lol
Very good comic. I saw a reference to it and read it from the start. It has a good plot and the drawings are top notch!
Will these last two pages look the same when they go on the Drunk Duck site? They are a different shape.
David – Thanks!

“thanks for”, not “that’s for”. :-°
