Just read through your archives over the last couple of day.
Very much enjoying the artwork and story.
    Looking forward to the rest.

…so maybe I should drop a line or two too, considering I’ve been reading since halfway the fight Kyri had with those wolves a while back…

I love your art, though I was wondering, are you doing this with MangaStudio? there are those little things in there that bug me that I know are typically MangaStudio when trying to ink digitally.

What really got me, though, is the story. Your comic actually has one.
Now, I’ll be the last one to go and bitch at the overload of BL comics out there, but once in a while you need a story that is gayless and ISN’T really, really dark and sick 😛

…okay, so I guess I could’ve summed that up with ‘keep up the good work’, but.. 😉

I’ve been reading since before Cole and Kyri fought, and I really gotta hand it to you. You’ve come up with some concepts that are so creative that I have several possibilities of where you Want to go with them, and no clear idea which you Truly are going with… if im even close that is 😛

Definate props are in order for the Banestone and Stoner ideas, you’ve managed to combine apocolyptic and psudo medieval genres in a totally flawless way.

As an aside, if you ever decide to expand the store to sell Endstone merch prehaps it would be cool to get some pewter molded statuettes or something along those lines? Most places just get t-shirts, but I know id by a statuette of Pablo or a Banestone necklace lol.

    Keep the creative juices flowing!

JackieHJ – Thanks. 🙂 I appreciate you dropping in. It’s great to know that people are reading and enjoying this thing. As for Manga Studio, yes Endstone is all digital, except for the cover of issue 1 (the very first post which was done with a brush and ink). I’m not entirely satisfied with MS. I find I’m constantly fiddling with the settings and I’m still not comfortable after almost two years. Even though I love real brushes and pens, I can’t go back. It’s simply a matter of time saved (no clean-up, easy corrections, perspective rulers, etc). But MS looks slightly “off” I know. There’s always a trade-off I guess.

And thanks for the kudos on the story. I worry sometimes if it’s not working. I took some risks starting the tale in the middle, and it’s kind of an off-beat yarn that’s been percolating in my brain for decades. I drew the first scene with Cole kidnapping Quandel to see if I could do sequentials and it sort of expanded from there.

Namtar – Thanks a heap. Again, I really love hearing from readers and I’m glad you’re enjoying the story and the funky genre bending. As for the store, I’ll see what I can do. I put the store up as a test last summer and I’ve been meaning to expand it, but I wasn’t sure about the right time to start monetizing the comic, if ever. And pewter molded statues…. I have no talent in that area. Is there some place that does that kind of work for hire? Actually, I’d really love to have a Pablo pewter statue myself. LOL. Thanks. 🙂

And Pablo as Baron Samedi. It was not intentional but I can totally see that. I guess archetypes sort of run in the collective consciousness. 🙂

Well, I know around here there are places where its possible to comission pewter statues (im in canada). I’d assume that there could be a local artist you could hit up for ideas, prehaps an up and comer or even a local metalworker. I threw out the idea because I havent seen that elsewhere and it might sell decently. Stone lasts longer then cloth (usually!).
Running some stuff through google gave me http://www.medals.cn/statuettes_china.asp

Id love to see you be able to get into that and sell statuettes on the site, or even a banestone necklace 😛 Id assume buying in bulk would allow for decent sales, especially if they’re smaller models or w/e. If you have any buisness minded ppl around you it might be some good food for thought. If you decide to go with this, i’ll be among the first to throw you some congrats and pick something out ^^. If not, hey I appreciate you listening to the idea 🙂

In the meantime, I’ll keep on reading and see what happens

Thanks for the links. I’ll definitely consider it. However, truth be told, I don’t think I have enough readers to support buying products in bulk for resale. So the cost might be prohibitive to manufacture just a few. Hopefully the reader situation will change for the better over the coming months (years?) to eventually try something like this.

But I think the statue idea is really cool and definitely worth exploring. Thanks. 🙂
