Yes, dodging. I was trying to convey that Kyri got to the guy with the arrows first and probably busted them over his head.
And the circumstances that led to her transformation from a meek deer to a badass warrior will be revealed later in this issue. And it’s nothing super-natural…. at least for this fantasy world.
That would explain the bow being wrapped around the wolf’s neck. Of course, I’d have hung on to the bow, rather than making a necklace – even without arrows, it makes a good club (at least, until it breaks).
DM: No, I played them, and believe me that percentage roll means you can only hit something if:
a) your BS is around 40, which means you are like Old Shatterhand
b) your target is standing in point blanc range
c) you take half turn to aim
d) you use a laser pointer (I’m too lazy to look up how it’s called)
this adds up to 90 percent and the way combat dice are rolled (with the extreme luck and Murphy’s Law in gaming) it means your every second shot hits its target. Now take the wolves:
a) I give them a BS of 35 because they are living from hunting (like most Feral characters)
b) This looks way more than 3 metres (we are talking about the first panel, where they are actually shooting) so it’s only +10 (for close range)
c) Half turn to aim +10
d) No laser thing on bows
It gives them 55% chance to hit which is no good, knowing that attack rolls barely make it below 80.
SCAScot: I’m talking about th broken arrows on panel three. But now I see they are a result of a successful charge(best melee action ever).
Also note that Kyri has three attacks per round which translates into a 40+ Agility score. That means she can dodge big time (dodge rolls -in opposed to attack rolls- tend to be below 30 and I was saved by them multiple times).
Thanks for stopping by, folks. I appreciate the comments. And I have no idea about any of this Dark Heresy stuff you guys are going on about, but hey, if it works for the comic… cool.
Super Saiyan FTW. I guess being a main character does indeed free you from the law of nature.
Also: broken arrows? Is she THAT badass? Or the wolves are really using Dark Heresy rules.
She’s dodging arrows. At short range.
Yeah, she’s that badass.

Ok, I finished Dark Heresy-talk.
That’s a pretty strange concept of % chance!

A Deer kicking Wolves Asses? Is it that time of the month? A full moon? OH NO!!! A WEREDEER!
Ahaha, They’re talking about a roleplaying game based in the Dark, dangerous world of Warhammer 40,000.
