However much of an evil schmuck the floating head guy may (or may not) be, you have to award him clever points for using the revenge angle to tighten his control of her.
I’m glad you prefer black and white, Renato. I’m definitely going back to black and white after this issue (maybe before). The truth is a hate coloring and I’m spending too much time on it.
MAYBE I could squeeze in three updates a week in black and white.
Unless you really give in high-leveled special effects, greyscale is not that different from color, difficulty and time-consuming speaking.
If you’re not sure about what i mean by high-leveled, check Bleedman’s stuff. Specially his characters that use angry demonic eyes from time to time.
Here, Tony’s color is not that high-level, however the way i see it it’s enough to power up 10 times the “role” part. You can live the story a lot more easily and efficiently than in Black and White. Not sure what it would be in greyscale, but for sure that would not make the work that much easier than one would expect.
If I go back to black and white, I’ll definitely use tones like I did on the pages before I started coloring.
I agree that colored pages tend to draw the reader in more. The problem I’m having is that earlier colored pages (like when Kyri battled the toads) were done with care because I was into the process. Lately, I’ve just been using simple colors because I find the process tedious – especially flatting a page, unfortunately. 🙁 Also, I’m doing less line-work with the idea that color will fix things. It doesn’t so I’m unhappy with the art in general.
But I will definitely keep in mind that you folks prefer color and I’ll see what I can do. 🙂
For myself personally I like the colors better. It does bring the reader more fully into the story. However, I prefer that Tony uses whichever method makes him happiest with the process. After all, a happy comic creator is much more likely to keep creating than an unhappy one. 🙂
prediction: the man in the helmet does not have very high access in the game. If he did he’d be able to just rewrite data tables and give the stones to whoever he wants. Instead i think he’s just a regular player with a minor hack to let him communicate with the other players out of character even when they are immersed while remaining himself unimmersed. He may even have a character of his own that he’s been neglecting. His goal? Well in storylines like this it’s usually to wreck the game out of anger at one or more of the creators, but i think it will turn out to be something related to the real world lives of some of the players. Like say stealing business secrets.
Hey, all caught up! Somehow lost the link for this comic, now I can start reading it again. Man have things been happening!
Glad you’re enjoying the comic Oz. 🙂
Need a post-it to write on it, Oz ? I can send you a billion of those if my 5 1/4 floppy driver can open itself… :p

GATES is a sinister bastard. Much more on him later. 🙂
2 a week is too few, I love the story, honestly I prefer 3 a week on B&W than 2 on colour.
Anxiety kills me

Could we at least have greyscale then?

I vote in favor of colors. 🙂

I have to admit, you got that right
Looks like we don’t all agree on this. :p

Try the forum, there’s a topic for theories in which Lurker has stated a theory much similar to your own, except with a slightly different ending. 😉
