Now that was unexpected. He was hiding his face not because of a scar, but to keep menacing hulking appearances… Hilarious. 🙂

Didn’t expect that. 🙂 I wonder if they’ll stage a convincing fight now, or just run off…

Should have seen that coming. It’s Blaster from Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome all over again.

Now they send in the expendable minions to demonstrate to us how awsome the big guy is! Or maybe not… Nah! We want a fight!

I’m glad you folks got a kick out of Vandric’s appearance. I’ve been waiting to spring this for years now. 🙂

Is Vandric also a dog like Gog?

No one knows what kind of creature Vandric is. Drakyl the Dragonstone claims to have created him with stonecraft. He might have some dog or wolf in him. Also possibly infant sacrifice came into play.

Not sure if you’ve told the backstory of how he became her protector instead of fulfilling his (according to drakyl) purpose of killing kyri. But if you haven’t yet told that story you totally should! Maybe as a side story instead of in the actual comic so as not to disrupt things buta short story about their history would be helpful since we’ve seen almost every ones else’s except herrick and quandrel. Heck just make a miniseries on how they all met and bece friends with a special edition on herrick and Jon’s wild adventures!

Unfortunately Vandric’s backstory has not been told in the comic. 🙁 I’d love to tell the story someday but finding the time is the key.

In fact, I originally wrote this comic without any flashbacks at all, but as the comic unfolded, it seemed necessary to tell something of the back story. I don’t know if I deviated too far or not with all the flashbacks. And some things had to be cut to keep the story moving, so Vandric’s tale (along with Herrik and Quandel) were not included. If future adventures need these back-stories to fill in the gaps then they will be woven in, but I’m hesitant to use flashbacks anymore since they are so prevalent here.

But I agree, a Jon and Herrik mini-series would be cool and fun to do. If I had the time….

Time is indeed a cruel mistress but if you find that she is kind on a calm day perhaps you’ll work on it 🙂 I think the flashbacks werent excessive and were necessary for the understanding of what was happening. If these backstories are needed it’d be cool to see them if not oh well :). I think that you shouldn’t be afraid to use flashbacks if they are needed. A mini series on them woulf be awesomely hilarious considering a lot of people love herrick and continually root for jon due to his intelligence. The pair of them would be hard to beat I imagine. Also if you ever have a free afternoon a list of the different stones and their abilities would be reallllyyy awesome!! Just saying 🙂

Thanks for the feedback, Leila. 🙂 It really helps me understand what is working and what isn’t. 🙂

If things go as planned and I launch a second volume of Endstone after this “God at the Eternity Spire” story is finished, then the new tale I have in mind might feature a flashback of Herrik and Jon’s days as thieves since this will be relevant to the new plot. I just need to finish this current one first so we will see. 🙂

And that’s a great idea about having an info list for the stones. I could put in the the menu items at the top of the page. I’ll put it on my list of things to do and hopefully maybe I’ll get to it after Issue 10 is complete.

Thanks and I’m glad you are enjoying the story. 🙂
