Howdy folks. I hope it’s clear from the italic dialogue, but Kyri is trying to get inside Cole’s head by speaking Deerish. Cole probably hasn’t heard that language since she was a child so it catches her off-guard.

I shall hazard a guess…all those ‘higher animals’ are actual animals turned anthroposophic and sapient by the eternity spire and destroying the spire with the fusion of bane and end stone would revert earth back to what it normally was without magic and anthro-animals
