OOOOOH!! He is altering reality to his ideal, which is a technocrat’s dream! He wants a world full of cities and cars and big big buildings! No big BOOMS, just a gentle breeze and nothing will ever be the same … damn, that’s devious!
Hi, I’m reading this for the first time and I like it so far. I have to disagree with Katy’s analysis though.
It seems to me more like he’s ending some sort of virtual reality simulation to me. It seems from the “foreign” memories shown on the fifth panel that Kyri is his wife and they live or lived in our world or one like it. Something must have gone wrong with the program, making everyone forget they are in a simulation, which is why Jon needs to shut it down. From what Kyri has said about the Banestone, it must be some kind of master key that lets the person remember their real life, thus seeming insane to the other ‘players.’ It must also let them manipulate the program to some extent, so that they seem to “freeze time” as Kyri mentioned. Jon must be trying to shut down and reboot the system from the inside. The “horrible god” looks like he might be a programmer or monitor or something.

Welcome and thanks for leaving a comment, Matt. I don’t want to spoil anything so I have no other comment beyond that. 🙂
