They never met; the only reason Jon and Kyri know any of them beyond Herrik is because of what happened after the tragedies which Jon is naming. And they don’t matter as much to Jon as absolving himself (I’m not feeling all too kind towards him, but then again, I suppose all three *are* out there; Jon and Kyri simply don’t know/never met them)
Herrik should be around, though; I wonder if he’s a fitness guru, martial arts film star, or Elvis impersonator? Or maybe all three? And was he Jon and Kari’s Best Man?
Which reminds me: I worked out Alvik (easy enough) but I still haven’t got a line on Zykron. The only thing I can come up with is the Police, or Sting, perhaps, via Synchronicity. Although I suppose it could be Jung, too. Anybody got any ideas (since I’ve left it wide open for Tony to write ‘yes’ or ‘no’ and then snigger at me a bit).
Wouldn’t it be ironic if Herrick and Kari, unbeknownst to John, were having an affair in the “real” world? I bet that would weaken John’s resolve to return to that life.
Raoullefere – Interesting theory, 🙂 And actually I had a reveal scene for Zynkron when Kyri was carted away in issue 7, but it was cut to keep the story moving.
Why he didn’t answer the question about their friends? They aren’t their friends in that reality? Or they don’t exists?
I’ll leave it up to you to decide. 🙂
