I would guess the “intentionally going into range” too.
Oh boy, I got a bad idea: He could be intentionally blowing this battle to win thier trust. The issue is that you have a big difficulty with staying hidden while rocking the banestone and all those trying to end the world before had the banestone first, then tried to get the endstone. What if he tries to do it the other way around? Aquiring the Endstone first and then (with a calm mind) start a plan to end the world?
One cannot effectively bring about the end of the world while rocking the banestone – because you get practically insane. But with a calm mind John might succeed were others have failed for 5000 Years.
I think you mat just be on to something there, but this prediction might throw a monkey wrench into the works with John making a “deal” with what’s-his-assface. the idiot who couldnt learn to meditate but could make a fucking dark matter ham sandwich.
He’ll never be married even IF he gets what he wants from his campaign!
So, let me get this straight. Simon wants to revert the changes he’s done. Jon wants this all just to end without any more unnecessary suffering. A thought occurs. The end stone is the emergency button. The bane stone, the on switch. In Simon’s hands with both, he want’s to revert the world to how it was before. Jon seems neither, for or against that notion. Maybe, Jon’s proposition was to restore things to a certain degree? Allow the restoration of all memories but with out the destruction of the ones of the new world? Or perhaps to restore Simon to physical form but no further changes on the world?
But if all this reality came out of Simon’s head, is that possible? If the ‘dreamer’ awakens, what of the dream?
Of course, that was solved over in another comic, Locus (which, as long as you can handled NSFW without pron, you really ought to read), by maintaining that once created, the creation exists independent of the fate of the creator. But I don’t know if Tony’s going to go for that.
OMG! Jon has the Thingamastone!
Now *there* would be a stone: has whatever powers you believe it should when you rock it. But if it’s proved to you it can’t convey that powerβ¦
LOL. Jon will hence be the rocker known as “Thingamastone.”
Jon is intentionally going into range of Endstone so intentionally losing, counting on others to do something as result?
Or is his plan to use momentum to knock them both down so his wife won’t be holding her stone and he can recover before her?
Or is there a way to neutralise effect of endstone if one understands what it really represents?
Interesting questions π We shall see how it plays out.
Heh, Thingamastone.

Well, as was shown, it was created. Flat out made real via the machine meltdown. So there really shouldn’t be any dream based dilemma, no?
