I seem to be enjoying this, though honestly I feel like some other author did this plot before. Probably Heinlein. (Humans trapped in a virtual reality world and trying to fight the handful of people who actually know what’s going on and who had accidentally wound up the only ones in the world who retained their memories.) If it was Heinlien then there’s no real difference in quality between this and the original I remember: Your characters may be less characterized, but at least they’re not carbon copies of Heinlien and his wife like all Heinlin’s characters are. Heinlien would likely have had a different set of absurdest puns then “Stoners” and “Rocking” though, but they would ultimately be of a similar level of pop culture reference.
One difference : noone knows anything about the “real” world. Banestone rockers only know what they are told by the etheral god-like entity within the Banestone, who twist their sanity in the process of mind control.
What the heck hit them? Or is the Arch breaking under the strain of the quakes?
I think the “quake” is from the force of the battle below.
And confirmed by previous panel. 😉
Don’t worry, the chain of living frogmen will save you!
They’re called toadmen, actually, being created with the Toadstone. 😉

I wouldn’t say that. Pablo knows about lasers and Jon dresses in “real” world fashion. And then there GATES, who says he is a scientist, not a god.
