I originally had them fighting the toad-men at the base of the arch and then they go inside and fight all the way to the top, but I cut it. The story needs to move forward. I hope this works.
I think it’s a bit of a harsh cut, but so long on the how isn’t important to the story it’s not strictly needed. My first thought though was “wow, the St. Luis arch is hollow?”
now, to be fair, my second thought was “It’s raining Frogs, Hallluah! It’s raining Frogs, yeahyeah!” Followed closely by Mrs. Piggy singing those same lyrics. That is to say, my thoughts are rarely a good base for actions.
Actually, the real St Louis arch is hollow. There is a small tram that takes people to the lookout section. In the comic, this is where they are fighting. In real life, its a small long room with windows looking out over the river on one side and over St Louis on the other. Fantastic place to be at sunset.
The arch also has an underground museum which is where you get on the tram that takes you to the top.
Gog can handle himself in a fight, but he’s not as good as the others. Gog’s sword is actually wooden (last issue) but somehow was changed to metal during the coloring. Another thing to fix. 🙂
I wonder how they got up there…
Running like hell would be my guess.
The stairs… 🙂
