Yeah Lindy is part of the Lightstone clan so she can use the stone. In fact, Lindy was rocking the Lightstone when they arrived in St. Louis a few pages back. My bad for not making that clearer. I had written a whole scene earlier (when the family were in the woods at night) where Jon was reminding Lindy how to use the lightstone again, but i cut it due to time.
Well, granted the situation has been very confusing for a while, but I’m pretty sure cranky granny could have spoken her mind any time she’d have wanted to. Including now.
I’d say we’re approximately tens of thousands of years past the point when women weren’t listened to in many affairs. And even that at times was the official line as strong women have always affected things around them, even when it has been infuriatingly hard to do.
Probably has just had enough time to figure things over… Then again, is she now lacking the senses Pablo was missing, being only a skeleton? She might be having those back, so this probably isn’t the “I don’t feel anything, is this a way to live” -problem which his husband rather chose to ignore.
Also. Are we really seeing Civil War corpse or just someone who was really into recreational events? 😀
Alsoalso. It’s quite clear that Livingstone’s powers have grown in temporal dimensions, but what about spatial? Would she actually need to get close to Montaine family tomb to wake up ol’ Pablo?
I will say this: a couple pages ago I had an “Avatar” reference about a guy screaming about zombies eating his cabbages. It was going to be “The Simon God” but I didn’t have room for an extra panel on the page so it was dropped.
Ooo.
Uh-Oh!

Yes. 🙂 Thanks for posting the link.
… Uh. So Lindy can rock the Lightstone, too. I am now realising we know very little of who she was in life.

When Mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy!
I think we can expect a visit from Pablo soon, everyone else is walking around.
maybe….

Great points! And it’s not a conscious thing, but when I look back at my work, there are a lot of strong women in Endstone, so there’s that.
And it goes deeper for Lindy. Did anyone ask her if she wanted to be resurrected? Is this something someone should want?

LOL – yeah maybe it’s the corpse of civil war buff. 🙂
And your questions will hopefully be answered very soon!
Oh wow, what happens if Dad wakes up?
This story is surprising me and surpassing all expectations considering “the Simon God” is essentially dispatched…
Hey good to hear from you again. 🙂

Simon may still make a cameo…. 🙂
