14.25 Endstone Fantasy Comic
Feb18
Just letting you folks know updates will be once a week for the near future — at least until my schedule clears. I’ll post something again next weekend. In the meantime, if you want word on when exactly a new page is published, be sure to subscribe to the Endstone email list. See you soon!
Well, negociations started off nicely, i see
Hopefully events will surprise you. 🙂
I love the scene! It reminds me of the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, but I cannot figure out why.
Thanks! 🙂
So, does King Hexler use the Telekinesis Stone? Or just Haxes?
Good question. 🙂 Hopefully the answer will be clearer next page. 🙂
That is a BIG (presumed) Overstone. Based on what we’ve seen so far, that would make this the most powerful Stone yet encountered which is actually portable. And based on the floating castle, likely equipped with an “Automatic” mode, lest the castle fall from the sky when its rocker sleeps.
That’s… actually a pretty scary line of thought, given the power of the amulet-sized Banestone.
End of Line
That’s an interesting line of thought: that the larger an overstone, the more powerful it is. Honestly, that’s never occurred to me but that doesn’t mean it can’t fit into stoneverse as it has been presented. I’ll have to think about it. 🙂
It was just a thought based on existing observations and a lack of coffee – the Banestone was too large to fit to a ring, with powerful abilities relating to space/time distortion, while Megarek (albeit for obvious story/balance reasons) is too large to move casually.
If anything, the Levitatostone’s (since we may as well call it something for the next week) size is likely indicative of its area-of-effect size or how much power it can handle at once.
Meh, makes a nice nugget of Worldbuilding Fluff™ if nothing else.
End of Line
It’s a good idea and I like it. 🙂 I love it when you guys (and gals) see stuff that adds to the story and this world. 🙂
IME, anywhere from 10-90% of the worldbuilding in most RPGs I’ve played is the end result of bored players overthinking things. Nice to see the same principle applies.
End of Line
I will just go ahead and assume that it is The Stone Stone…
Can’t go wrong with that. 🙂
Single weekly update for awhile? http://www.nooooooooooooooo.com/
Well, to paraphrase something I’m sure already exists in 18,000 other quotes, “Anything worth doing takes too gorramn long.” Best of luck with your schedule.
End of Line
Hahahahaha! I bookmarked that for future use. 🙂
And yeah, sorry about slowing the pace, but it’s an incredible amount of work involved in each page and I just have to ease up for a bit.
Take your time! Although we fans would love to have 2 pages a week (or, for that matter, a page a day, or maybe several), I think my fellow fans would agree with me that we rather have higher quality at a slower rate than higher quantity at poorer quality.
Thanks. Good to know you’re sticking around, Lurker. 🙂
I have to admit, if I lived on a flying castle powered by an overstone, I wouldn’t be too pleased to have the owner of the endstone turn up at my door. I suspect that there is more to it that just that though.
“Oh look, the wielder of the one thing in the world that can invite my old enemy Gravity inside for a cup of tea and expensive craters.”
Yup, would NOT be on the list of people I’d greet fondly. Also not someone I’d want to annoy too badly, on account of the aforementioned “Gravity” detail.
End of Line
Yes indeed. Kyri could send this city crashing to the ground if she so desired. I’m sure Hexler has an army, but then Kyri has a dragon. So probably Kyri is not too popular with the “stoner-crowd.” Maybe the stoner-kings will one day band together and put an end to Kyri —- hmmm — I think I have an idea for the next story! 😉
I mean, Kyri doesn’t strike me as the kind of person who would willingly destroy a city, including innocent civilians.
Hopefully Hexler knows that too.
We’ll see what happens. 😉
