Maxim 34: “If youβre leaving scorch-marks, you need a bigger gun.”
Personal addendum: “If you are not even leaving scorchmarks, you should have run!”
Oh come one, a bug ?!? I already ranted about the iron dragon description, but this time Cole’s doing it too despite being a former banestone rocker. Even without knowing basic modern science like her father, she still should know what a halicopter is. <_<
Because he joined the Endstone and Banestone, Jon is the only Banestone rocker who has implanted memories from the alternative, modern world. Cole reluctantly looked through the mirror at the Spire generated modern world. Even if she saw a helicopter through the mirror (which I doubt) she would have no idea what it is.
Then How do you explain Jon’s excellent understanding of modern world economies during his Time Killer days ? Or Drakhyl’s understanding of how a powder gun works ? They had yet to come into possession of both stones at the time.
Also, Jon says it himself (unless it’s part of Simon’s deception) : He needs both stones to open a door, but the banestone is enough to visualize a window, which would explain Jon and Drakhyl’s knowledge and Cole’s modern day fancy tastes (completly incompatible with medieval fancy tastes) during their respective banestone onslaughts, yet does not explain Cole’s inability to recognize a helicopter.
All in all, sorry Tony, but your answer is not convincing :p
Well… ultimately you, as the reader, have the final word. I do my very best to entertain and engage you all. Sometimes I’m going to miss the mark. Noted.
Make no mistake. If i was not interested and entertained, i would not bother ranting about the flaws or welcoming the strengths. In fact, underlying the flaws is my part of helping fixing them, and doing it in a rant style underlines how the flaw feels, making it more lively than a ticket in a bug tracker would be. π
So, if you feel bad about how i put this earlier, please accept my appology, as it was never my intent.
No need to apologize, my friend. π Your reaction is genuine. I just don’t have a response this late in the project. I can’t really fix things so it is what it is.
3 more pages until final shutdown (if the average of 10 seconds per page holds)…
… I don’t think a bullet-riddled Kyri will be capable of punching the endstone into pieces again.

This grand finale is great, but is it, indeed, the finale? π
Mm….someone should have brought a flyswatter, methinks.
Dragons have a build in flyswatter. It conincides with the saying “Kill it with Fire”.

At least that’s the way it was intended. π

LOL. Yes. That’s what I meant. π

Yes. 10 seconds per page. π
