I believe I pointed out on the previous page that villains are stupid? Also Simon appears to be in considerably more of a rush than there is reason for. Unless the SPIRE’s control lattice was damaged more so than has been made apparent, that is.
No one said Grim was the reason. Looks clear to me that Simon has figured something about the trap laid for him and wants to hide and observe. I was just saying he could have done so after having disposed of 3 of his foes on this occasion. 😉
My bad if the meaning wasn’t clear. Simon is worried about another chess piece involved . . . another person . . . a powerful person he fears. He probably should blast a few of the others but he doesn’t want to linger, waste power or expose himself. If that makes sense.
I guess he feared a Chainsmoker that has no fear for his health anymore.
A chainsmoker that already countered the banestones timestop effect once.
A chainsmoker that might have just the right stone to create optical illusions of them being all together.
Aw, come on ! Even if you’re not sure having enough power against Grim, you could still wipe out the 3 others and run to recover…

End of Line
Panels two and three: It’s not Vandric the Grim that causes Simon to flee.

That’s what i understood right on first reading, i was simply stating that even while still playing cautious he had an opportunity there. 😉

Indeed.
Oo nice touch with the baiting strategy.
Thanks. I’m not sure how this page came across so good to know it works for you. 🙂
