I would think that if Gates has created them .. even if only to serve as bait or an explanation, or whatever .. they do exist. Now, whether they have their own dimension or are a part of the dimension where Jon and Kyri fight is an interesting question. I lean towards that they are apart of the landscape of Gates’ dimension where Jon and Kyri currently are.
Good points. 🙂 The strange part is, the Alts ARE our heroes in alternate form. So the question is: are we intrinsic beings with an eternal soul, or are we just “parts of the dimension where we live” as you say, and nothing else. If that makes sense.
He had a pretty clear statement from Simon that they are a simulation. But virtual reality IS reality, as long as you’ve lived it and remember it. It’s a bit philosophical but still, it works. So yeah, those alts are real alright, virtually real but real none the less. 🙂
I think the best way to explain myself on that is to illustrate with what happenned in a Naruto movie. the main villain cast a powerful illusion to create and monitor an entire dream world based on the real one, with differencies, and trapped our hero there to battle his counterpart, but accidentally a heroine was trapped to, and because she was not supposed to be sent in the dream world, her counterpart was thrown into the real world, making her a living illusion. Eventually, the hero went back home and the heroine swapped places again with her counterpart, but since those 2 worlds crossed each other, even after the main villain stopped the illusion, you cannot expect the dream world to vanish. It’ll become inaccessible, yes, but it’ll continue to exist, within the hero and heroine’s heart (and the villain, since he was able to manifest inside it too), and the hero and heroine too had an impact on the dream world characters. In other words, the dream world became real, virtually real but real none the less. 🙂
Kyri: You should have thought of that before you pitted the Rocker of the Banestone against the Rocker of the Endstone. Now the outcome of this battle rests in the hands of fate.
This seems a bit like crossing the streams… 😉
Do my eyes deceive me, or are the ‘Alts’ watching all this now?
There’s no way they can see through dimensions. But it is possible that their attentions have been caught by something happenning outside their house.
As for Simon’s warning, i’m a bit disapointed if he’s going to suffer from such a strategy. I had hoped instead to have Jon resist his influence. :/
Insectoid – True. Everything’s been done before but that’s never stopped me from ripping stuff off, LOL.. 🙂
Raoullefere – They are. 🙂 And I love that expression “the Alts.” I henceforth coin them as such. 🙂
Darth Killer – I like your explanation about what the Alts are seeing. But do they really exist? I don’t know.
And I hear you about Jon. I tried to show him resisting a little in the last post. He will have his moment before this is done.

I’m not familiar with Naruto but it sounds interesting. 🙂
it looks like she didn’t kick him hard enough.
LOL. Technically she should have maybe broke her foot.
Naw. Deer have hooves to protect their feet. 🙂

I think that’s a fair assessment of the situation. 🙂
Surely we all know that Shaggy is the most powerful stoner.
