Howdy folks,
I am well rested from vacation and I’ve decided to continue Endstone. It wasn’t a hard decision. I love doing this comic and I really couldn’t see myself doing any other comics with other characters. So you’re stuck with me. 😉
Volume 3 will be titled “The Better Off Dead” or “The Light of the Living.” Also, I’d like to welcome a new member to the creative team: Daniel Mellitz. Dan has been my writing partner for a number of years on other projects, and now we finally have an opportunity to work together on Endstone. I think you’ll really enjoy what we have planned for the next volume.
See you very soon,
Tony
This is the end of the Endstone, at least for volume one. I don’t know when I will be back. After six plus years of grinding-out this comic I need some time off.
I just wanted to let you know that creating this comic was a wonderful journey, and I appreciate you coming along for the ride. In 2009, as a lark, just to see what kind of reaction I would get, I posted the first few pages of this comic on Drunk Duck. In the first year, Endstone won “Best Fantasy Comic” on that site and that gave me the confidence to start my own site and continue the story to its conclusion. It took longer than I expected, but I had a blast honing my comic-making craft. I’d never worked with sequential art before, so it was a great learning experience.
Most importantly I wanted to thank you readers, both longtime and new. Your interest kept me going, even when I felt like giving up sometimes. One of the great things about doing this comic is I met some wonderful folks through comments and emails. I always looked forward to our discussions. And a big thanks goes out to whoever started the Endstone TVtropes site and to those who kept it going with updates. That was cool. And a special thanks to those readers who linked back to the Endstone site from various forums and places on the internet.
What’s in store for the future?
After a break, I’m going to touch up the artwork and prepare the project for publishing as a graphic novel. I’ll either use an existing publisher or publish it myself. I’ll let you know when it will become available. Also, I’d like to explore other projects that I literally have on the drawing board. And of course, I’d like to continue the adventures of the Montaine family, so stay tuned. At this time I just can’t say when I’ll be back. I’ll make announcements on this site when the time comes. Until then, join the email list, or subscribe via RSS, or follow me on Twitter.
All in all, it was my pleasure to entertain you.
See you soon,
Tony
