Howdy all,
Endstone is going on hiatus for a bit. I really tried to finish Chapter 2, but I have a family vacation and other commitments to attend to in the coming weeks. I’m guessing I’ll be back in May, but that could change. I’ll keep you posted. Until then, enjoy as Lindy comes alive!
Hum, you look different; did you change your hair?
Amazing what a little gel will do. 🙂
Oh… I… I didn’t expect *that*!
So, the Livingstone and the Gravestone can work together… And with Megarek’s amplifying powers, maybe both Pablo and Lindy could…
Would be awesome, wouldn’t it? Yet I fear that won’t happen.
I suspect that if Lindy took off the gravestone to bring Pablo back, then her memories and personality would depart and she’d become a mindless revenant like all the others brought back by the livingstone.
I think this is a fairly accurate assessment. 🙂
It would still be worth it, if you ask me. Both Pablo and Linda can be restored to looking mostly human so as not to scare the normies, and they can swap the gravestone back and forth on a weekly basis so both can spend time with the grandkids.
And hey, maybe there’s a ditto stone to copy stone powers, so they can both be “alive” at the same time. New story arc!
@Silly Name
Yes that’s one possibility. We’ll see how it plays out my friend. 🙂
She’s still purple, maybe a bit of makeup from her granddaughter… and some contact lenses… is there a stone for that?
There’s a stone for everything, my friend. LOL.
You should sell those stones.
I want to see the banana slug stone, or would it be banana slugstone? Just think, everyone in the world turned into banana slugs. Who knows why that came to mind when I saw, “There’s a stone for everything,” but it just popped in there… Sort of the way that Ray thought of the Stay Puffed Marshmallow Man. The Toadstone is nothing to the havoc of the Banana Slugstone.
I am just catching up with Endstone after the long hiatus. I clicked on my bookmark on a whim since I thought it was over. Imagine my delight upon realizing that it has restarted!
Hey Tony, is everything alright? We haven’t heard anything from you for quite some time.
Hope you’ve just been super-busy and you’re doing well. 😉
Hello my friend. 🙂
Yes I am doing fine! I appreciate the concern and I am so sorry for delaying news of my return. April I went to Paris and May has been super busy at work. And honestly, I haven’t felt like drawing much during the past month.
I’ll have more news in June. 🙂
Oh, you’ve been to Paris? Did you make a pilgrimage to the temple of the dark lord Minsky? 😛
Hahaha. No.
In fact, I haven’t been to any of the Disney parks in nearly 15 years. Hate the commercialization. Hate the crowds. Hate the company.
Hi Tony, I was just going to ask ab out you as well, but see it is covered. I hope you will tell us more about Paris.
Is there a story about your hatred of a certain company, or is it just a general feeling. Also, beware of Mouseland Security making a visit.
Hey Ying-Ko! Thanks for the concern my friend. 🙂
As for Disney, I find their lobbying (ie bribing) of congress to change copyright law nothing short of evil. Mickey Mouse should have been in the public domain long ago. And this coming from a corporation that amassed a fortune making stories from public domain characters like Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio, and so on. So egregiously hypocritical.
And now they are currently building a monopoly buying up Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, etc. When it’s Darth Vader’s time to go public you can bet they’ll block that with a thousand year copyright law or some such bullshit. Can you imagine paying the heirs of Shakespeare for the rights to do Romeo and Juliet?
Sorry for the rant, but you asked. 🙂 And I grew up a few miles from Disneyland, btw. 😉 Maybe it left a scar, lol. 😉
Hi Tony,
Not to worry about the rant as I agree with you completely. The copyright change also put some things back into copyright and out of the public domain. I do not mind them using public domain characters, but to try to then take them for their exclusive use, NO! There was a sitcom, years ago, about Snow White, Prince Charming, the evil queen, the magic mirror, and one dwarf being sucked into the real world. They had to meet with Disney all of the time to avoid “problems” and Disney always called the character “Miss White.” Hey guys, she was married to the prince and it should have been Princess White. [Well, if they are going to do that, I might as well add to the sillyness.]
Just imagine the next Snow White movie staring Darth Vader as the Evil Ruler, Winnie the Pooh as the one who spares Snow White’s life, Star Lord as a visiting dignatary, and Donald’s nephews as the dwarves. A real Star Wars Holiday Special kind of quality that is hard to achieve. 🙂
I hate that the idea of a reasonable copyright is going the way of the dodo.
Also, you go stuck on the “Its a Small World” ride for a few hours didn’t you? An experience that would scar anyone. I actually knew someone who did get stuck and even 40+ years later cannot stand that song. 3 hours of that song would make anyone give up state secrets and admit to having been the mysterious gunman on the grassy knoll.
I actually got to see that ride at the 1964 World’s Fair [around the area with the globe shown in the first Men in Black movie.]
Oh. Oh. Oh.
I… may have accidentally deleted this bookmark when I was cleaning out my bookmarks, and forgotten about it for a while… I remembered the other day when someone was talking about stoners, LOL. I’m SO glad to find Endstone again!
Any updates on a return time-frame? Not trying to be pushy, just hoping this comic (one of my favorites) isn’t dead.
Hey there Sparky! No problem. 🙂
I appreciate the concern and I’m sorry for lack of news. Truth be told I went on vacation and I’m having a hard time getting back to the drawing table. I’m not sure where the comic stands honestly. That’s the best I can offer at present. 🙁
Also, I have other commitments (that I’ve put aside because of Endstone) to get in order this summer, so when that’s all done I’ll have more news.
I appreciate your readership and I hope you’re still around if and when this project becomes active again. 🙂
You have no idea, we’re all like motorbike driver “vrooming” our bikes before the start signal, here. 😉
Hello DK. Glad you’re still around, my friend. 🙂
Yes I can see from the site statistics that people are visiting the site multiple times for news of updates. Sorry, I’m just not ready to commit to any production schedule. So unfortunately you’ll just have to be stuck in neutral with me. I wish I could offer more but that’s the best I can do for now. 🙁 And always thanks for your readership and support over the years!
Thanks for some other excellent article. The place else
may just anyone get that type of information in such an ideal method of writing?
I’ve a presentation subsequent week, and I am on the look for such info. https://mindzr.org/
