Awesome comic, different and deep; been reading it for about two hours straight now. One of the things I love about these types of webcomics: you never know what you'll find in the comments. I've been thinking a lot about how the past of the world affects people today, and what you said is a big piece of the puzzle. Thanks! I'm looking forward to seeing how this all goes!

Adam Black used to comment on Endstone back when I was first starting out over at Drunk Duck. I knew he completed a Kiss comic over there at the Duck, but I haven't seen him around lately. I really dig his stuff. I'll definitely knock back a few beers and read Locus tonight. Thanks for the tip.

LOL. My thoughts exactly. I've had readers ask if I'm a vegetarian because of the subject matter of Endstone... and the answer is no. Actually, I follow a Paleodiet or Caveman diet. I eat meat, vegetables, nuts, and fruits and avoid grains and dairy -- basically what humans ate before the invention of agriculture and the domestication of animals. Supposedly our bodies evolved to eat that kind of diet.

Don't worry about the lots of flashbacks as long as they are well-placed and fun. If you need some ideas check out Adam Black's Locus. It has a really zig-zaggy timeline and is still one of my favorite comics. Lots of cliffhangers, which make it a bit irritating sometimes. I warn you it's a whole lot different than your work (aside from the kick-ass heroines), so I'm not sure if you will like it. I hope you will.

Silverwolf: Haha, I'll place that in my repertoire. Right from my heart that is. -Sounding more and more like Yoda I am ;)

"Don't be herbivores kids." - LOL. :) Words to live by.

And thanks again for the feedback on the flashbacks. Honesty, I'm kind of unsure about the story because this issue (and probably Issue 5 too) is going to be woven with flashbacks as the characters head toward the final confrontation. But not a flashback like this one, more narrative flashbacks that tell a story within a story, like "Lost" or the old 1970s TV series "Kung Fu."

I have my doubts if this can be done in a webcomic format, but for the climax I have planned for this story, the reader needs to know the history and trials of these characters. Hopefully it works. But it's all about experimentation and taking risks so we'll see.

So let me know.

And here we go again. The cruel law of nature. No matter how much of a good guy you are or how much stones you rock, someday you will get eaten. Because you are a herbivore. Don't be herbivores kids.

I just hope being a main character overwrites the law of nature.

I also wonder what higher animals taste like. I mean they DID get butchered back in town.

Also this flashback didn't turn out bad at all. I just find it oddly long.
Keep the awsome flowing!
